Indoors, audio and video components are always surrounded by countless other electrical devices. Light dimmers, computers, peripherals, cordless phones, chargers, TVs, air conditioners, microwaves, washing machines, and so on. This is a normal situation in most homes. Less well known is that all these devices cause mains pollution and distortion. Some even quite severely. On the other hand, your components suffer from external mains pollution, such as street lighting, heavy industry, and elevators. Mains pollution and distortion have a strong – and often underestimated – negative effect on the sound and image quality of an audio/video system.

The POWER SOURCE is designed to significantly minimize and/or completely eliminate mains pollution and distortion in one go. After installing the POWER SOURCE, you will realize that the quality of the mains power was a weak link in the chain. Perhaps *the* weakest link.

Most mains filters do not perform well in combination with power amplifiers. The most common negative effects are a less dynamic sound, and a deterioration of stereo imaging and separation at higher volumes and with louder and more complex material. During the development of the POWER SOURCE, we tested almost exclusively with powerful amplifiers to avoid these common problems of all other mains filters on the market. After all, power amplifiers draw strong current pulses from the mains. This, in turn, causes mains voltage pollution and distortion that affects all other components of the system.

Manufacturers often use too small inductors, with cores that are too small and wires that are too thin, resulting in the bad reputation that power filters have among some people…

Digital sources pose another problem. The most frequently heard comment is a less pleasant ‘digital’ sound from CD/DVD/SA players, streaming audio devices, and DA converters. In most cases, this is caused by mains voltage distortion generated by these digital components themselves, which affects all other components in the setup via the mains. Solving this specific problem was a high priority in the design of the POWER SOURCE, and we have succeeded. Digital sources will sound much more natural and ‘analog’.

The POWER SOURCE is designed to provide a complete audio/video installation with clean mains voltage and offers 8 sockets. The POWER SOURCE contains 2 filter sections: a separate section for power amplifiers and a second section for 2 digital components and a preamplifier, plus 3 other components such as a TV, DVD player, etc.

The POWER SOURCE has been designed to be as compact as possible without compromising on quality and performance. Thanks to its modest size and black finish, it can be placed discreetly behind the system in most situations. The standard length of the power cable is 1.5 m, but it can be supplied in any desired length upon order.
